1. IntroductionIn the US, Alzheimer’s disease (AD) is the most common type of dementia, accounting for 60–80% of dementia cases. Currently, more than 6 million Americans have Alzheimer’s, and by 2050, this number is estimated to rise to 13 million [1]. The Health and Aging Brain Study–Health Disparities (HABS–HD) project seeks to understand the biological, social, and environmental factors that impact brain aging among diverse communities [2].
