Columbia police say 30-year-old Alexander Dickey allegedly shot and killed 22-year-old Logan Federico early Saturday on Cypress Street. He faces murder charges in Richland County in connection with Federico’s death, as well as other charges in Lexington County after what was described as a crime spree.

If you drive through the historic district in Downtown Fitzgerald, you’ll hear and see several hundred wild chickens just clucking around. β€œI love the chickens. I love seeing the different colors of them and seeing the shapes of them,” one Fitzgerald resident said. Another Fitzgerald resident added that growing up and seeing the chickens was never out of the ordinary.
