Written and Illustrated by by Martí Riera Ferrer  Introduction by Art Spiegelman Translated by Andrea RosenbergPublished by FantagraphicsI have to confess that I have been trying for a really long time to get into this book. I have heard from many people that it is a book that is “right up my alley.”Part of the reason it’s been so hard for me to get through is because I haven’t been able to find a good enough copy to read.

Written by Kieron Gillen Art by Caspar WijngaardPublished by Image ComicsI have to say that I haven’t read too many comic books from either of these creators. I have read their major works (The Wicked and the Divine and Home Sick Pilots), but haven’t read much beyond. They both are solid creators but they both never really appealed to me. With that, I decided to check out their newest work that they collaborated on. It sounded interesting enough.

Written and Illustrated by Jeff LemirePublished by Image ComicsWriter and artist Jeff Lemire is still one of the most creative and thrilling creators in the comic book industry. His creativity really knows no bounds. He can do everything from writing, to drawing, to lettering and coloring and even painting. He also can work for the Big Two and then work on creator owned titles. This is one of his more recent creator owned titles and it is a good one.

WalkerArt by Justin Greenwood,Brad Simpson, Pat BrosseauPublished by Dark Horse ComicsArtist Justin Greenwood is certainly making a name for himself with his artwork these days. Every time I open up a comic book that he has drawn, it is something really great. This book is no different. It is a strong book with plenty of horror to it that is right up my alley. I loved every second of it and each page had something new and exciting to it.

When I was a kid, I never imagined that we would one day have a Spider-Man movie. Heck, I remembered buying Comics Scene magazine and poring at all of the rumors. Well, we did eventually get that Spider-Man movie. And we got a lot of them with more to come. Then, the geniuses over at Sony tried to do their own thing, first with Venom. Venom was a huge hit for Sony and the movies are fun entertainment.
