Scattered storms todayHighs holding in the 80sForecast remains unsettled into the weekendThere’s a greater chance of seeing some showers and storms develop this afternoon as a cold front approaches the area. The Storm Prediction Center has placed our area under a Marginal Risk of severe weather this afternoon. Meaning isolated strong to severe storms are possible. The primary concern is damaging wind. Additional showers and storms are likely Saturday as the front pushes through.

Wildfire smoke sticking around Highs staying steady in the 80sShower/storm chances increase into the weekendSmoke from the Canadian wildfires will make the sky look hazy once again today. The smoke is mostly in the mid-levels, but may cause a subtle decrease in air quality. A Code Yellow (moderate air quality) is forecast. We’ll see another warm and muggy day across the region. More clouds move in today with with a slight chance for a shower or storm.

Temperatures will be warming to the 80s as we go through the week. We’ll see a good amount of sunshine again today, but smoke from the Canadian wildfires will make the sky look hazy this afternoon. Highs today will warm into the low to mid 80s with a light breeze.
