Ange Postecoglou said Dejan Kulusevski "should be okay" after being substituted through injury in Tottenham's 2-0 home defeat to Crystal Palace on Sunday. Kulusevski went down in the 16th minute following a strong challenge from Palace defender Marc Guehi and was substituted off three minutes later after receiving treatment on his right knee. The Sweden international, who was replaced by Mikey Moore, walked off the pitch unassisted and immediately went down the tunnel.

Bournemouth midfielder Alex Scott will undergo surgery after suffering a broken jaw in a clash with Aston Villa defender Tyrone Mings on Saturday. Scott, 21, went down six minutes into the 1-0 defeat, after he attempted to latch onto a slack touch from Mings, before the defender's right elbow made contact with the face of the Bournemouth player. Scott received lengthy treatment on the pitch, before also going down in a clash with Amadou Onana, and he was substituted at half-time.

Mohamed Salah says there was "tension" between himself and Sadio Mane while they both played for Liverpool, but added they "always respected each other". Mane joined Liverpool in 2016, with Salah heading to Anfield a year later. They regularly played on either wing until Mane's departed for Bayern Munich in 2022, having scored 120 goals during his six-year spell in Merseyside.

CF Pachuca president Armando Martinez says his club are not considering signing James Rodriguez or Andres Guardado for its Club World Cup campaign in June. Rodriguez, 33, joined Club Leon in January following the termination of his Rayo Vallecano contract, and was set to take part in the summer tournament alongside Guardado until it was announced in March that Leon were not eligible to play after failing to meet FIFA's multi-club ownership criteria.

Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone will run her first 100m flat sprint in a professional setting at the Grand Slam Track event in Philadelphia later this month. McLaughlin-Levrone, the world-record holder for women's 400m hurdles, won the long hurdles groups and claimed the $100,000 bonus for doing so at the two opening Grand Slam Track events in Kingston and Miami. She will compete in the short hurdles group in Philadelphia, consisting of 100m hurdles and 100m flat.
