PGL Astana 2025 is kicking off on May 10, and four teams are worth following throughout the event. These teams are G2, FURIA, Astralis, and Ninjas in Pajamas. Here’s why you should keep an eye on them during PGL Astana 2025. G2PGL Astana 2025 will be G2’s first tournament without Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov, who joined Falcons in April following the IEM Melbourne 2025 grand finals. The organization signed the Polish sniper Olek “hades” Miśkiewicz on loan until the end of June.

Fnatic has moved Peter “casle” Ardenskjold, their CS2 head coach, to the inactive roster this Thursday, May 8. Fnatic’s decision to bench casle comes after a string of bad results in tier-two tournaments all year. FaZe has benched Helvijs “broky” Saukants and brought Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyljev for the BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025, the organization announced on May 5. s1mple joins FaZe initially on loan from Natus Vincere. The Ukrainian superstar has been away from the pro scene since November 2024, when he and Falcons failed to qualify for the Perfect World Shanghai Major. Although broky’s benching isn’t surprising, given that the Latvian is going through a slump for months, FaZe signing s1mple is shocking.

Vitality have matched the second-highest win streak in Counter-Strike esports as they beat MOUZ by 2-1 this Thursday, May 1, at BLAST Rivals Spring 2025. Thanks to this 2-1 victory in the upper bracket of group A, Vitality have reached 23 consecutive championships on LAN— the same that Team Liquid achieved in 2019, the year they won the Intel Grand Slam.
