It was a beautiful day, filled with joy and celebration. Until it turned dark, the joy replaced with fear, the celebration replaced with sorrow. A party meant to celebrate the world champion Kansas City Chiefs’ back-to-back Super Bowl win ended abruptly on Feb. 14 after gunshots rang out in the crowd, resulting in one dead and 22 others injured, including 11 children. Authorities have charged two adults with second-degree murder and two juvenile suspects with gun-related offenses.
