    Firefighters have spent hours tackling a blaze at a former pub in Norwich. Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service said seven crews were sent to the Cat and Fiddle on Magdalen Street after it broke out at about 14:50 BST on Thursday.     A major incident has been declared after a huge fire at a recycling warehouse, with local people advised to keep their windows and doors closed. Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue Service was called to the scene on the Sanders Lodge industrial estate in Rushden, Northamptonshire at 06:30 BST. Twelve crews were on the scene tackling the fire involving "a large quantity of plastic".

    A hospital director said rebuilding the facility would help attract "high quality" staff. Work would begin on the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Harlow, Essex, between 2032 and 2034, the government announced on Monday. Director of strategy, Michael Meredith, said construction would take up to five years once started.
