For as long as I can remember, I’ve struggled with my weight—I was always the “chubby” girl as a child and the “bigger” woman as an adult—and have had a bounty of issues with disordered eating throughout my life. Once I was diagnosed with polycystic ovarian syndrome, or PCOS, in my mid-twenties, my body image issues worsened. After my diagnosis, my OB/GYN recommended that I see an endocrinologist and try to lose weight.
