SARATOGA SPRINGS —A gathering of approximately 150 people enjoyed a night of creativity titled “The Future of Broadway: A Musical Showcase of Contemporary Composers,” on the campus lawn at Skidmore College July 11.
The event was part of The Orchard Project’s 2024 Arts Festival presented July 11-13 in Saratoga Springs.

SARATOGA SPRINGS —Spring Street Gallery invites the public to join an opening reception and artist talk for “Vibrant View” showcasing the artwork of Soliven Melindo and Max Litvinov from 4-6 p.m. on July 20. The exhibit will run from July 20-Sept. 13.
Both Melindo and Litvinov use bright colors in their work that can create experiences in color expression. Their bright hues of pink, blue, yellow and green, among other colors, are playful and friendly.

After a long career in the insurance industry, King is transitioning into the world of real estate. While spending 24 years working for State Farm, King garnered experience in customer relations, negotiation, and financial analysis.
Since becoming a Saratoga County resident 28 years ago, she has become very active in the local theater community.

SARATOGA SPRINGS — The Saratoga Central Catholic School announced last week that it will merge with Stillwater to create a new football program. 17 Spa Catholic students will participate in the inaugural season beginning this fall at the modified and junior varsity levels. Varsity will start in the 2025-2026 school year.
Stillwater’s team is the defending Class D Sectional Champions.

SARATOGA SPRINGS — This week, the City Council began floating potential options about how they would go about hiring an interim member to fill a vacant governing seat. With elected officials currently holding nearly half the top seats in city government that could be vacated by January, it is a process the remaining members of the council might have to revisit in short order.

SARATOGA SPRINGS — Amanda Seyfried, an actress best known for her roles in “Mean Girls,” “Mamma Mia,” and “Dear John,” stopped by the Northshire Bookstore in Saratoga Springs last week in support of novelist Liz Moore. Moore was in town promoting her latest book, “The God of the Woods.”
Earlier this year, it was announced that Seyfried would star in a Peacock series based on “Long Bright River,” one of Moore’s novels.
