What happens when the only place you've called home (London) is unable to support the kind of life you dream of? Three years ago my husband and I made a life-changing decision and it is now finally, really happening. *inhale*1) We are uprooting our entire lives and moving to Portugal. We are building a house powered by the sun on a 3-acre patch of countryside with a ruin, just outside Lisbon. We are doing this to answer a calling to the land. and… 2) I've written a book about it! It's my debut book.

May and June are my favourite months of the year because for me, it’s when Nature is at its most magnificent. It’s the crossover point between late spring and early summer. The pace of life and growth is rampant, my garden is full of newly fledged chicks and everything starts coming into flower.
