To fulfil the increasing demand for energy storage solutions, lithium-ion battery manufacturing and recycling technologies need to meet rigorous performance, cost-effectiveness and environmental standards. However, laboratory-scale research often overlooks economic considerations, leading to an imbalance between technical achievements and practical implementation. Bridging this gap requires simultaneously addressing technological innovation and economic viability.
