In changes announced on Friday, Ian Gordon also assumes a new role as chairman, succeeding non-executive chairman Malcolm McPherson, who will remain as a non-executive director. He will be joined by his brother Colin, who replaces Kit Gordon, also as a non-executive director. However, Kit Gordon will remain heavily involved with the club, particularly her roles with the Community Foundation and women's team.

Should Celtic prevail at Hampden, Hibs will enter Europa League qualifying at the play-off stage. And while the aim will be to qualify for the tournament proper, defeat in the play-off would see them parachute directly into the league phase of the Europa Conference League.
