Kansas faced an 11-point deficit early in the second half, and with their season on the line, the Jayhawks switched to a zone defense that turned the game around. The Jayhawks used a ridiculous shooting stretch from Zeke Mayo to stay in the game but ran out of steam in the final four minutes. Arizona closed the game on an 18-8 run to knock out Kansas and advance to the semifinals. KJ Lewis led the way for the Wildcats with 19 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists and 4 steals.
