Brighton: Expensive buy Hattal set for debutCostly purchase Hattal is set to make her debut for Ollie Sangster in the 5½f maiden (3.00). The three-year-old daughter of No Nay Never was purchased for 320,000gns by Al Shaqab Racing, and the sister to Listed French winner The Fixer, Hattal will be partnered by Faleh Bughenaim. Sangster said: "I'm thrilled to get the support of Al Shaqab and it's nice to get a well-bred filly like her. We'll get her on to the track but she should improve for it.

Tiernan Power Roche continued his impressive form when steering Give Him A Chance to a first success in the 2m4f handicap hurdle. The jockey made it five winners in the last fortnight when scoring by a comfortable five lengths on the Philip Rothwell-trained six-year-old. Give Him A Chance got off the mark at the sixth attempt for the 5lb claimer, who bounced back from falling off Give Him A Chance at Limerick in April.

Ryan Moore produced another spectacular ride to strike with Camille Pissarro and hand Aidan O'Brien a second victory in the Qatar Prix du Jockey Club. Sent off as 7-2 favourite, the son of Wootton Bassett snuck up the inside rail under an ice-cool Moore to finish clear of Cualificar and the John and Thady Gosden-trained Detain.

Ten Bob Tony completed a fantastic across-the-card treble for Ed Walker when holding off Kinross to win the Group 3 John of Gaunt Stakes at Haydock. A 11-1 shot earlier in the day, William Buick's mount was sent off at 5-1 and scored on his first start of the season. A stewards' inquiry was called to look into possible interference between the first two, but the placings were unaltered. Buick said on ITV: "This fella kept grinding and he was really good.
