Abstract In order to improve the dynamic and steady-state performance of the finite control set model predictive torque controlled surface-mounted permanent magnet synchronous motor drive system, a novel finite control set model predictive torque control (FCS-MPTC) with different dynamic and steady-state control schemes is proposed in this paper.
