Industrial wastewater discharge is the primary source of toxic heavy metal pollutants, which poses a significant threat to living organisms and ecosystems. [1], [2], [3], [4], [5] Due to the poor degradability and easy bioaccumulation of toxic metal ions, an effective method to remove such ions (e.g., Cr(VI)) from wastewater is urgently needed. [6], [7], [8] Adsorption technology is recognized as a preferred strategy due to its high efficiency and ease operation.

All data were from the ADNI database (https://adni.loni.usc.edu). The goal of the ADNI project is to identify biochemical, genetic, imaging, and clinical biomarkers that may be used to predict the early beginning of AD. Participants have been recruited from more than 50 sites in the US and Canada [24]. We included 211 individuals providing clinical conditions, CSF and plasma β2M, CSF GFAP, sTREM2, and AD biomarkers.

AbstractDysfunction of pancreatic δ cells contributes to the etiology of diabetes. Despite their important role, human δ cells are scarce, limiting physiological studies and drug discovery targeting δ cells. To date, no directed δ-cell differentiation method has been established. Here, we demonstrate that fibroblast growth factor (FGF) 7 promotes pancreatic endoderm/progenitor differentiation, whereas FGF2 biases cells towards the pancreatic δ-cell lineage via FGF receptor 1.

AbstractIt is an increasingly common practice that drinking water distribution systems (DWDSs) may have to deliver new-quality water after decades of service. However, the so-called transition effects when old DWDSs receive new water remain unclear. In this 2 year longitudinal study, transition effects induced by the introduction of partial reverse osmosis in production were observed as marked increases in particle load, elemental concentrations and biomass.
