    ROBERTSON COUNTY, Texas (KBTX) - Storms rolled through the Brazos Valley late Monday night, taking down trees and cutting power for thousands. In Robertson County, a strike of lightning ended in significant damage for one local family. By Tuesday morning, the smoke had cleared but the damage and heartbreak was still fresh after one family said they woke up to a smoke-filled house when lightning from Monday’s storm hit their roof.

    COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) - Five human trafficking survivors are now safe after a rescue operation earlier this month in College Station. The Brazos County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) said the investigation began after one survivor reached out for help. That tip led law enforcement to four additional potential victims, who have all been recovered.
