    Sammie Puisis might have gone undrafted on Monday – but it wasn’t long until the former USF guard was picked up by the WNBA. The Chicago Sky announced they signed Puisis to a training camp contract Wednesday, becoming the 10th Bull in program history to sign with a WNBA team. Training camp contracts are one-year, minimum salary deals to evaluate players to make the final roster. Financial terms of the deal were not announced, according to the Sky.

    Tampa International Airport has an animal problem – planes taking off and landing don’t get along with the nearby wildlife. Airport officials were told by the Federal Aviation Authority that they need to address the issue. According to an FAA database, the airport had 141 wildlife strikes in 2024, 20 of which included multiple strikes, such as a plane hitting a flock of birds.

The NEH funds historical preservation and community-based research, such as Ken Burns' film "The Civil War."The endowment also helps fund humanities councils in all 50 states – and they're seeing cuts now as well. These state councils support local art programs, museums, libraries and other projects.

    Pasco County officials want their residents to have a say in how roughly $585 million in federal funding for hurricane relief is spent. The county received the Community Development Block Grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development in January, but it was paused after a federal funding freeze. The money was finally released in March, prompting officials to set up a series of public workshops for residents to share how they want the money to be used.
