    We are excited to announce that Indranil Ghosh, a veteran journalist and editor who has covered business, technology and international news, will become our new Middle East and Africa Editor. In his most recent role, Indranil was the deputy foreign editor at The National based in Abu Dhabi, where he has lived since 2021. At The National, he led a team of over 40 reporters and editors, covering key stories like Israel’s war on Gaza, the Sudan conflict, and the Taliban’s takeover of Afghanistan.

    Rest of World is thrilled to announce that Maryam Saleh is joining the team as our first Investigations Editor. In her new role, Saleh will lead ambitious, newsroom-wide investigative projects and help elevate daily coverage.     Rest of World is excited to share that Nikita Saxena is joining as a Contributing Editor. She will be based in New Delhi, India, and will mainly commission, edit, and publish freelance reports from Asia. Nikita has a decade of experience in reporting and editing across television, print, and digital newsrooms. She has been engaged as an editorial consultant for an international consortium of journalists, through which she worked on projects with several independent newsrooms across India.
