HighlightsCD4+ T cell metabolism, which is a dynamic process, can be adjusted according to the specific functional requirements of the cell state. Glycolysis has an important role in the development and maturation of CD4+ T cells. The activation, proliferation, and survival rate of CD4+ T cells increase with increases in their glycolysis level. After glycolysis level increases, the inflammatory effect function of CD4+ T cells increases and their immunosuppressive function decreases.
