While there is much literature on the effects of racism on health outcomes, there is less discussion of managing the experience of interpersonal racism in daily life as a clinician. This article reflects on one clinician’s experience, highlighting strategies to mitigate the impact of interpersonal racism as a practising clinician. Although the effects of racism on health outcomes are well explored, there is less discussion on how to manage interpersonal racism in daily life as a clinician.
