    FocusAccess to data is a critical competitive factor within and beyond the financial system. Data access may be achieved through regulatory interventions, such as open banking, or through mergers. We assess how mergers among data-rich firms can impact competition, drawing on examples from the payments and technology sectors. We review how competition authorities are considering data in merger assessments, identifying limitations and proposing new metrics to support data valuation.

    Quando ho letto della nuova regola della Federal Trade Commission degli Stati Uniti che vieta gli accordi di non concorrenza, mi sono ricordato di quando ho lasciato una startup blockchain qualche anno fa per unirmi a un'altra società di venture capital. Il mio vecchio datore di lavoro mi ha inviato una lettera di diffida in cui affermava che avevo violato una clausola di non concorrenza nel mio vecchio contratto di lavoro. C’era poco merito legale nelle loro argomentazioni.

Mon ancien employeur m'a envoyé une lettre de cessation indiquant que j'avais violé une clause de non-concurrence de mon ancien contrat de travail. Leurs arguments avaient peu de fondement juridique.
