Everyone knows that God is able to do anything, He even parted the Red Sea! But the question is, will He do it for you? That’s where people get stuck. They stop believing God because He didn’t come through on something. But we have to see things through His eyes. Because His ways are higher than our ways, and his thoughts higher than our thoughts (Isaiah 55:9). That means we can never really know the “why” of things because our minds will never be able to grasp His plan.

I’ve often said it this way, when people are afraid to die, they are afraid to live. People won’t take chances for fear of failure. They won’t leave their house for fear of getting into a car accident. People won’t walk under a ladder for fear of bad luck. So many fears that prevent people from living because they don’t want to die. But when you know Who’s you are, that changes everything, well it should, anyway. Death is not the END it’s the beginning.

This song comes to mind as I think of Thanksgiving: “How can I say thanks for the things You have done for me. Things so undeserved yet You gave to prove Your love to me. I owe it all to Thee.” This is from the song called, “To God be the Glory.”This time of year, we get an opportunity to be thankful. We may even share around the table with those loved ones with our thankfulness.

We had a guest come and speak this past weekend. He touched on every health issue from skin conditions to cancer, from allergies to emotional distress. When we got through the second day, many were commenting how much lighter they felt, like they took a sauna bath and got rid of all impurities. The book “What Was I Thinking” is a book that both Caspar and I wrote to help us understand our thought life. Scriptures say it clearly, “As a man THINKS in his heart, so is he” Proverbs 23:7.
