By Mark BlackburnLet’s start out by explaining what exactly we’re talking about here. If you’re a right-handed golfer, a slice is a golf shot that starts left of the target, then curves excessively to the right. The even more-offensive push slice starts off either at the target or to the right of it, then curves more to the right. For a left-handed golfer, slices curve to the left.

By Mark BlackburnIf you’re a right-handed golfer, a hook is technically defined as a golf shot that starts right of the target, then curves excessively to the left. A pull-hook starts left of the target and curves even farther left. For a left-handed golfer, hooks curve to the right. But no matter which way you swing the club, constant hooks can make you crazy, in no small part because they generally turn hard and always seem to roll out forever (or until they’re stopped by a tree).

By Michael Jacobs, Golf Digest’s No. 8 Teacher in AmericaA balanced, centered and repeatable setup position is essential to any good golf swing. It also requires absolutely no athletic ability to create. Once you know the proper setup position, all you have to do is repeat it. However, because every golfer looks different when it comes to things like height, weight, posture and mobility, there can be a lot of variability amongst golfers at setup.

By Michael JacobsWhile there might not be a universal “perfect” way to hold a golf club, there is a universal “best starting point” for a golf grip. From this foundation, you can make personalized adjustments so your grip works in harmony with your swing and range of motion, allowing you to control the clubface and strike the ball more effectively. For right-handed golfers, the top hand in your golf grip is your left hand. The key here is to properly position your thumb and align your grip.

Hey coach, here’s a question for you. Your starting pitcher – let’s call him Billy – is 11 years old. You took Billy out in the top of the 5th because his last two innings were a little rough and he hit his 85-pitch limit. That’s the acceptable number for a kid Billy’s age, but it’s a lot of volume for a young arm. Do you A) sit Billy down on the bench with an ice pack on his shoulder or B) encourage Billy to stretch a bit, then send him out for a light catch with the utility guy?

Grampa Yogi's first pro contract was with the 1943 #Yankees affiliate Norfolk Tars in the Piedmont League, for $90 a month with a $500 bonus if he played the whole season. However, he turned 18 on May 12th and promptly enlisted in the #USNavy to fight in #WWII. 🙏⚾️❤️

Did you know we have Yogi's copy of his Norfolk Tars contract on display? Yogi of course went by Lawrence in those younger days officially - and his father even had to sign off as his guardian! https://t.co/d0sEH5kC4i

PSA: The last day to watch @itaintoverdoc on @netflix is this Sunday, April 26th. It will still be available on @PrimeVideo and @AppleTV. #Yankees #Mets #MLB #ItAintOver https://t.co/WT6ocwTMfC

Yogi Berra seemed to be doing everything wrong, yet everything came out right" Mel Ott Yogi Berra wasn’t just a great receiver.
