A well-known Winston-Salem woman is recovering in the hospital, after being assaulted around 7 a.m. Sunday morning. 85-year-old Esther Deaver, known to most as 'Ms. Esther,' has been in critical condition in a local hospital-- recovering from her injuries. The incident happened in the early morning hours, in a parking garage by Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Hospital. You've likely seen Ms. Esther over the past few decades, pushing along her bike up and down the streets of the city.
