It's a step toward improving healthcare in schools. Virtual healthcare is now available to students at Hillcrest Elementary School in Burlington. The new telehealth program launched about two weeks ago and is already proving to be a success. "It's a coordinated effort to improve health and learning," said Chief Student Services Officer for the Alamance Burlington School System, Kristy Davis. Through this program, students can now have easy, affordable access to healthcare on campus.

A Piedmont Triad High School is celebrating a state championship title. The Atkins High School chess team took home the victory-- making them back to back state chess champions. Not only that, but the school now has the largest high school chess team in the state-- and it's only continuing to grow. After all, life is like a game of chess. Every move you make counts. What started as a closet clean out two years ago has now transformed into something that's helping thousands of students across the Piedmont Triad attend prom for free. There is now a permanent prom closet location for all students across Forsyth County. It's located at 2700 S. Main Street in Winston-Salem. "We've been working on this for two years," said Organizer Christine Bland. "It's just such a dream come true to have a permanent space."Bland's vision has come a long way in the last two years.
