Escaping Site from Endo-lysosomal Trafficking Route Manipulates Exocytosis of Nanoparticles in Polar Epithelium
Endo-lysosome pathway is a major barrier for trans-epithelial transport of nanoparticles (NPs), and the escaping strategies could facilitate trans-epithelial delivery. Based on the polarization properties of epithelium, different escape compartments may result in different exocytosis fates of NPs and further affect the delivery efficiency.

Abstract:This paper presents the results of an experimental and analytical study on the behavior of cold-formed thick-walled steel plates connected by a single bolt under double shear. Experimental studies were conducted on a total of 54 bolted connections fabricated from two thicknesses of cold-formed thick-walled steel plates, with nominal thicknesses of 6 mm and 10 mm. The effects of the end distance, edge distance, and steel plate thickness on the bolt bearing behavior were investigated.

Abstract:In this study, a three-dimensional internal wave (IW)—cylinder—terrain coupled numerical model is established. Based on the large-eddy simulation (LES) method, the IW mechanical characteristics of the cylinder and the flow field evolution around the cylinder over different types of terrains are explored. The similarities and differences in the mechanical characteristics of the cylinders in the environments with and without terrains are compared.
