Key PointsQuestion  Is early antibiotic exposure associated with higher risk of bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD) in very preterm infants (VPIs) at low risk of early-onset sepsis (EOS)? Findings  In this cohort study that included 27 176 VPIs in China, prolonged early antibiotic exposure (5-7 days) was associated with increased likelihood of moderate to severe BPD or death among VPIs at low risk of EOS.
