    First Federal Savings Bank will spend about $700,000 to renovate an existing building in Roanoke to create a full-service branch in. The Roanoke branch at 339 First St. will have about 2,180 square feet, a bank marketing executive said through email. Scheduled to open late this year, the branch will offer personal and business banking services, including checking and savings accounts, consumer and commercial lending, mortgage services, and digital banking solutions.

    The Brightpoint Development Fund has received a $2 million Equity Equivalent Investment from Old National Bank, which is expected to strengthen the organization’s lending capacity, a news release said today. Brightpoint also said the investment will help in its mission to expand access to affordable capital. This infusion from Old National is the first Equity Equivalent Investment, or EQ2 investment into Brightpoint Development Fund.

    The woman shot early Sunday morning on Colerick Street in Fort Wayne was 86 and the Allen County Coroner's Office on Monday publicly declared her death a homicide. The coroner's office also released the woman's identity as Alice F. Hall. She was likely a 50-year member of Pilgrim Baptist Church, according to the pastor of the more than 100-year-old congregation.

Greater Fort Wayne, Inc. officially announced the awards today after an awards event Wednesday night at the Parkview Mirro Event & Conference Center. An award was given in each of four categories: nonprofit, corporate, education and public service.
