Legendary promoter John Giddings has spoken to IQ about the “gamble” of booking the Isle of Wight Festival ahead of next month’s instalment. Set for Seaclose Park in Newport from 19-22 June, IoW 2025 will be headlined by Sting, Stereophonics and Justin Timberlake. The bill also includes Faithless, The Script, Jess Glynne, Supergrass, The Corrs, Busted, Olly Murs, Lottery Winners, Razorlight, Yard Act, Pale Waves and Remember Monday.

AEG Presents has announced the appointment of Andrew Spencer as chief operating officer (COO) of AEG Presents Europe. Spencer joins from leading Australian concert promoter Frontier Touring, where he most recently served as COO. His new role at AEG Presents Europe will see him relocate to London this summer, reporting to Adam Wilkes, president and CEO, AEG Presents Europe and Asia Pacific.

Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli and AEG Presents have inked a five-year deal “for the creation and management of his live performances”. The agreement, which has been described as “the most significant ever for a classical artist,” takes effect on 1 January 2026, spans all five continents and covers all ticketed live events. Bocelli is repped by WME’s Kirk Sommer and David Levy, who also collaborated on the deal, along with the singer’s management team.

Puerto Rican star Bad Bunny has announced a global stadium run titled Debí Tirar Más Fotos (I Should Have Taken More Photos). Produced by Live Nation, the 23-date tour kicks off on 21 November 2025 in the Dominican Republic and wraps on 22 July 2026 in Belgium. Other stops on the tour include Costa Rica, Colombia, Mexico, Peru, Chile, Argentina, Brazil, Australia, Japan, Spain, Portugal, Germany, Netherlands, United Kingdom, France, Sweden, Poland, and Italy.

A new 7,000-capacity live entertainment venue called Idea Live Arena has officially opened in Malaysia. The arena is located in Petaling Jaya – a metropolitan community to the west of Kuala Lumpur – within the 3 Damansara shopping mall. The 61,000-square-foot site is said to feature a spacious reception foyer, fully equipped dressing rooms, five VIP boxes and state-of-the-art technology.
