In this guest post, Lisa Kennedy shares what it was like to be part of a school-based apprenticeship program, offered by Wesley Mission Queensland. Apart from addressing workforce shortages, the program provides students with some great experience, especially if they are considering further study in areas such as nursing or allied health. In 2023, I began the Wesley Mission Queensland traineeship program, completing 50 days of placement over 12 months.
