Warming Trend For Sunday SALINAS, Calif. (KION) – Sunny but breezy Saturday with gusty onshore winds at coast and inland valleys too. It will be another cool night with mainly clear skies, but allow for some low clouds at coast along with patchy fog in areas. Sunday will begin a warming trend for a few days with temps above average and staying dry with sunshine. Overnight: Low clouds possible at coast otherwise mainly clear and cool temps in low to mid 40s. Patchy fog possible.

The Heat is ON! SALINAS, Calif. (KION) – Summertime heat is on tap as a warming trend is underway for the rest of the week. Minor heat risk for the next few days for people very sensitive to the heat. High pressure to our south builds in strength. A northwesterly onshore flow may cool the peninsula a couple of degrees. The overall warming trend will continue through mid-week as the ridge maxes out over the area with highs 10-15ºF above normal by Wednesday.

Sunday Warmth SALINAS, Calif. (KION) – Sunny and warmer! High pressure dominates the California Coast. However, there will be some hazardous beach conditions at the local coast beginning early Sunday with sneaker waves and rip currents. Temps rise Sunday in many areas especially inland, highs will be in the upper 70s to 80 degrees with a minor heat risk for very sensitive people.
