The dinner at 1501 Uptown Gastropub was fulfilling and excellent. We had great service and the staff was welcoming and friendly. The atmosphere was comfortable, dimly lit and warm. There was a nice selection of dishes to choose from. They serve brunch, lunch and dinner. It a pub style restaurant with a middle section that contains a wrap around bar and good for sports fans as they have a TV set up. It is perfect for a snack such as a charcuterie board or large pretzels that go with a cocktail.

We had the pleasure of dining at Bluewater Grill in Catalina. It was a perfect setting: sitting overlooking the pier and the boats floating in the water at sunset. The servers were excellent and friendly. They are open for lunch and dinner. The food is fresh and sustainable and they are known for their fresh seafood. This is a must visit in Catalina and the Restaurant has been around 25 years. The inside was busy and for a good reason. The atmosphere and freshness is worth the wait.

Steve’s Steakhouse is a charming high quality restaurant. It is located upstairs in Catalina in a beautiful dining room and bar overlooking the water. Steve himself was in the restaurant and welcomed us in. The service was amazing. Our waiter was super knowledgeable and friendly. He explained the different cuts of steak to us: the ribeye is a little more fatty; the New York steak has fat on the outside and the filet mignon has no fat. They also have fresh fish so ask for the catch of the day.
