ABOUT DEBORAH LEE:Ms. Deborah Lee retired as the director of NOAA’s Great Lakes Environmental Research Laboratory (GLERL) on February 28, 2025. In her former role, she was responsible for conducting integrated scientific research on the Great Lakes and coastal ecosystems. Ms. Lee also served as NOAA's Regional Team Lead for the Great Lakes, facilitating collaboration across 800+ NOAA employees and partners representing the agency’s diverse capabilities across the region.
