1. IntroductionThe China Internet Information Center (CNNIC) published the 46th Statistical Report on the Development Status of the Internet in China. The report revealed that by June 2020, China had reached a staggering 940 million Internet users, with a penetration rate of 52.3% in rural areas and 76.4% in urban areas. Specifically, the number of rural Internet users accounted for 30.4% of the total, with 285 million users, while urban Internet users constituted 69.6%, totaling 654 million users.
