The photocatalytic reduction of CO2 into high-value chemicals using inexhaustible solar energy is one of the most promising approaches for simultaneously addressing global warming and the energy crisis [1]. Generally, the main processes of CO2 photoreduction include light harvesting, the excitation of electron-hole pairs by suitable photons, and the reduction of adsorbed CO2 molecules on surface-active sites with the electrons [2].
