PORTLAND, Ore. (KPTV) - The animal rights nonprofit organization, PETA, is offering a reward after their “Hell on Wheels” box truck was stolen in southeast Portland this week. PETA says the truck, which is covered in images of chickens in crates, was stolen near Southeast 72nd and Southeast Flavel in the Brentwood-Darlington neighborhood on the night of Monday, July 3, or the morning of Tuesday, July 4.

PORTLAND, Ore. (KPTV) - You have the opportunity to try the oldest Japanese whisky ever released, if you have $7,000 to spare. The Multnomah Whisk(e)y Library in downtown Portland will be hosting a tasting of the House of Suntory’s Yamazaki 55. The whisky was distilled in the 1960s. A hundred bottles of the whisky were released in June of 2020. Of those, 20 made it to the United States. One of those bottles is now at the Multnomah Whisk(e)y Library.

PORTLAND, Ore. (KPTV) - Firefighters rescued a dog after it fell into a manhole in the Sellwood neighborhood Friday morning. Portland Fire & Rescue tweeted just after 10:30 a.m. that crews were on scene of a confined space rescue at Southeast 9th Avenue and Southeast Lambert Street. PF&R said a Labrador Retriever named Tess had fell into a manhole. FOX 12 spoke with Tess’ owner Larry Beutler who said they were on their normal walk when Tess spotted city workers standing over an open manhole.
