An independent panel is now calling for extensive reform of the United States Secret Service. The panel investigating the July 13 attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump at a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, issued a 52-page report Thursday, saying the Secret Service is in need of "fundamental reform" and new leadership.

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — Depression rates in the United States have reached record highs, with 29% of adults in the country receiving a depression diagnosis in their lifetime. Since 2015, depression rates in adults living in the U.S. have increased by almost 10%, according to a survey published by Gallup. Researchers found that women and young adults were the most significantly affected. Thirty-seven percent of women have been diagnosed with depression in their lifetime, as compared to 20% of men.

(WLNS) — The World Health Organization is sounding the alarm on what it says is a “silent killer,” affecting one in three adults worldwide, with four our of five people being inadequately treated. The WHO published a report on high blood pressure and its global impact, giving it the “silent killer” name because it often has no symptoms. High blood pressure, or hypertension, is the most important risk factor for early death worldwide, beating out tobacco use and high blood sugar.
