NORTH LAWNDALE — Riot Fest returns to Chicago this weekend after almost moving to the suburbs. The punk music festival is Friday-Sunday at Douglass Park, 1401 S. Sacramento Drive. Headliners Beck, Slayer and hometown act Fall Out Boy will take the stage, along with other artists. Tickets for Riot Fest are still on sale and can be bought here. Three-day general admission passes start at $299.98 and VIP at $399.98.

GRANT PARK — Lollapalooza is back with another packed lineup. Now in its 33rd year, the fest will bring Megan Thee Stallion, Hozier, blink-182, The Killers and more to headline Grant Park Thursday-Sunday. The long-running event will also make history as the first major U.S. festival to introduce a hybrid battery system for its T-Mobile main stage. It will be the major first fest to operate solely from this setup.

WEST LOOP — While some festivalls are heading to the suburbs, Pitchfork Music Festival returns to its Union Park home this weekend. The fest — which highlights indie, alternative, hip-hop and electronic music — has run annually in Chicago since 2006 except for a pandemic hiatus. Headliners Alanis Morissette, Black Pumas, Carly Rae Jepsen, 100 Gecs, Jai Paul and more will take the stage Friday-Sunday at Union Park, 1501 W. Randolph St., along with dozens of other independent acts.

The story behind the video displays a toxic relationship that should go up in flames but is ignited by not wanting to let go. Partnered with a nervous yet remorseful vibe that ramps up toward the end of the track, the band creates a montage of a relatable scenario.
