FBI Director Kash Patel is unleashing his agency to investigate why the Biden Administration allowed the terrorist Mohamed Sabry Soliman to overstay his tourist visa. Patel wants answers for why an illegal alien was able to launch a fire attack against Jews in Boulder, Colorado. Yesterday’s antisemitic attack is yet another heartbreaking tragedy that is becoming too frequent on the streets of America.

Relient K played a surprise, full-band show at Brown’s Diner, the Hillsboro Village landmark known more for its fried pickles than pop-punk history. But for about 100 lucky fans crammed into the diner, and the hundreds more packed on the deck and sidewalks outside peering through windows, it became a front-row seat to an unforgettable night.

Comey made headlines a couple of weeks ago with his cryptic Instagram message “8647.” Then he took it down, claiming that he was unaware of its connotations with violently removing President Trump.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced that the Trump Administration is halting all student visas for international students until it improves “social media screening and vetting” of foreign applicants. Reportedly, China is upset about the visa crackdowns, calling into question U.S.-China relations and diplomacy. Of course, one must ask if this edict crosses the line for free speech.

For those paying attention, something’s been stirring beneath the surface of Christian music—something louder, heavier, and long overdue. Your browser does not support the audio element. FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino announced that the FBI would be launching an investigation into the Dobbs leak that occurred before the U.S. Supreme Court announced its decision in 2022. The FBI is also going to launch a probe into other unsolved cases, such as the cocaine found at the Biden White House in 2023 and the 2021 pipe bomb case. To be honest, the news today wasn’t even on the ACLJ’s radar.

Creem had Lester Bangs. Rolling Stone had Hunter S. Thompson. But when I think of Christian rock and metal—not just journalism—one name jumps to the top. Doug Van Pelt, the infectiously passionate founder of Heaven’s Metal. There’s a glimmer in his eye as he sketches out the layout for the first new print issue in years. So why is the new co-owner of CCM Magazine interviewing Doug? Because I have a deep appreciation for what his magazine means—to the music, to the artists, and to fans like me.
