Anshul Roy began his journey as an artist as a traditional photographer attracted to the romantic notions of seeing the world with new eyes, finding beauty in the mundane and capturing it for the world to see and remember forever. All that changed when he realized capturing images for the world to see and remember also meant documenting some of the worst in humanity at the same time.

Fargo Moorhead Community Theatre’s 10 Minute Play Festival opened this past weekend to rousing delight, and at $10 a ticket, the hour-long stage experience is fun for the wallet, too. The series, held over two weekends, welcomes aspiring playwrights from anywhere to send their manuscripts for potential inclusion in the annual festival. It also gives writers, actors, producers, set designers and the like the opportunity to experiment with performances that last approximately ten minutes.

Emerging young musicians Sophie and Ania Druml are taking the global classical music scene by storm with their refreshing, modern interpretation of classical piano, violin and cello performed at the highest level. They now have good reason for bringing their talents to our corner of the Northern Plains. The sisters, who were born and raised in Vienna, have family ties to the Fargo-Moorhead area. They are set to make their American debut at Fargo Moorhead Symphony Orchestra’s Jan.
