Three men were arrested at a suspected chop shop in Kent after a police drone helped to locate a stolen car parked outside. The Mercedes-Benz C-Class was taken during a burglary in London. Police in Kent were notified on Thursday (April 10) that the vehicle had tracking software installed and was believed to be in the area of Yalding Hill. A police drone pilot attended the location, which was not visible from the adjacent roads or fields. The car was found just two minutes into the search.

Touching tributes have been paid to a talent Devon artist who inspired countless students to embrace drawing and painting. Jennifer Johnson's son Christopher Derrick said she was "devoted to art". Jennifer, who died last year following a long battle with cancer, studied graphic design and illustration at art school in Cumbria and Buckinghamshire. She went on to work for leading publishing houses, including the BBC, Weidenfeld & Nicholson and Collins & Phaidon.

Police have issued an urgent appeal for help to find a missing pensioner from Kent. Officers are concerned for the welfare of Carolyn Groom. The 76-year-old from Gravesend was last seen in the Northfleet area at around 9.30pm on Monday (April 7). She is described as being 5ft with grey shoulder length hair. Carolyn is thought to be wearing a dark skirt and sandal style slippers.

Exeter's MP says a £2.3m boost for flood defences will give the city "security". Three schemes have been given the go-ahead with fresh government funding this year. Schemes to receive funding include £224,000 for the Exeter Flood Defence Scheme and £150,000 for the Devon County Council Property Level Resilience Scheme. £1,887,000 has also been allocated for the Trews Weir repairs as part of 29 projects being prioritised across the country.
