Isabel Rowe has enjoyed a meteoric rise to her rugby league career already at just 18, and is loving life at Wembley winners Wigan Warriors playing alongside best friend Jenna Foubister. THEY SAY if you find a job you love, you’ll never work a day in your life. But the satisfaction can only grow and feel even better if you get the chance to do that job alongside one of your best friends. So it is little surprise then that for Isabel Rowe, life as a Wigan Warriors player is anything but a chore.

Mary Coleman, Eva Hunter twice and Tiana Power all crossed, with Rowe missing the last of the four conversions – the only kick the teenage sensation missed all afternoon.

Fresh from losing pack duo Jess Sharp, who has joined Leeds Rhinos, and Kelsey Gentles, who is currently recovering from a long-term knee injury, coach Lindsay Anfield has signed French international Sarah Menaa. The 21-year-old joins from Catalans Goddesses, with whom she has won the French Championship three times.

Wigan Warriors have confirmed that the injury suffered by Emily Veivers during Saturday’s 42-6 Challenge Cup Final win over St Helens will see her sidelined for over three months. The Papua New Guinea international was forced to leave the field early after she got her arm caught between two players shortly before Katie Mottershead scored Saints’ only try of the game. X-rays have since shown that Veivers suffered a fractured arm and will undergo surgery to screw and plate the fracture together.
