Ted Leonsis said last week that he is interested in having the Nationals on Monumental Sports Network, but only if he actually owns the team. Well, here's some good news, DC faithful: Ted confirmed to Grant & Danny Monday that he is still very interested in doing just that, even if perhaps the Lerners aren't interested in selling right now. Ted Leonsis is still indeed interested in buying the Nats, but he understands why the Lerners might not be interested in selling right now.

Alex Ovechkin has now scored more goals than any other player in NHL history, but over his 20-year career, his calling card hasn't been the only one in the deck. Ovi used to be as physical as anyone on the ice, but over the years, and wear and tear, he's adapted his game as the game as evolved - and Alan May, who's seen a lot of it for Monumental Sports Network, is still impressed with how he's done it.

There's something to be said in this day and age for an athlete playing their entire career with one team, and when you look at the list of this generation of players in any sport, it's very small. We've had a pretty good one semi-locally in Cal Ripken, and now again with Alex Ovechkin...and Ted Leonsis is not lost on the fact that all 895 of Ovi's goals have come in a Caps uniform, and what that his done for the organization as a whole.
