The Democratic Socialists of America condemned the killing of two Israeli embassy workers on Wednesday, a statement spurred by a subgroup's praise for the crime. In a post on X on Tuesday, the self-described "Marxist-Leninist-Maoist" subgroup, called the DSA Liberation Caucus, said "Free Elias Rodriguez and all political prisoners." Rodriguez is alleged to have shot to death the two staffers outside a May 21 event at the Capital Jewish Museum.

A Virginia hotel barred antisemitic podcaster Stew Peters from its premises Tuesday, blocking him from speaking at a conference for veterans of the 1967 USS Liberty attack. A backlash followed the revelation that Peters, an avowed Holocaust denier and white supremacist who called for a "final solution" involving the mass deportation of American Jews, had been invited to speak by the U.S.S. Two Israeli embassy staffers were shot and killed outside an event in Washington, D.C., around 9 p.m. Wednesday night, according to local and federal officials, by a suspect who appeared to target them in what many Jewish leaders are calling an antisemitic attack. The shooting took place following an American Jewish Committee event for young Jewish professionals and diplomats at the Capital Jewish Museum. The FBI is investigating whether the shooting is a hate crime and an act of terrorism.
