Ocean screens in cities across the UK have joined the annual national ‘Light the Darkness’ moment to mark Holocaust Memorial Day and the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau. In London, the BFI IMAX and Piccadilly Lights led the way, together with screens at both of the Westfield retail and leisure destinations.

In celebration of International Day of Persons with Disabilities, we’re highlighting our partnership with Special Olympics GB across our UK network. This week, Special Olympics GB introduced seven new members to their athlete leadership team, all of whom were recently announced across screens in various cities nearest to their hometowns to mark the occasion.

Marking one year to go to the Tokyo 2025 Deaflympics, athletes and organisers including UK Deaf Sport CEO Chris Ratcliffe, chairman Nick Brookes, GB deaf footballer Lucindha Lawson and Fiona Brookes, England women’s golfer and Deaflympian, gathered in London’s Leicester Square to launch their public fundraiser.

Our screens across our UK network are joining in the national moment to commemorate Remembrance Day. Remembering those who have bravely fought and defended our freedom. In collaboration with the Royal British Legion, The Loop network in Manchester and Piccadilly Lights, paid tribute to the national Memorial Day. Amongst the footfall of Piccadilly Circus, Piccadilly Lights displayed a touching tribute of falling poppies that were observed along with a 2 minute silence at 11am GMT on November 11th.
