COLTON–A murderous first inning gave the Lady Wildcats the edge in an away single-header here, Colton handing the Lady Buccaneers a 23-1 loss. Pomeroy is 0-4 in SE1B-East play, 0-10 on the season. They meet Liberty Christian Friday at home for a double header. "We got some hits at the end and will be ready for Fridays game," commented Head Coach Lexi Beale. The Lady Pirates managed just five hits, two by Molly Warren, and one each by Kendyll Potoshnik, Izzy Field and Raelyn Nagle.

POMEROY–Sunnyside Christian came to town and handed the Pirates a sweep with losses of 11-1 and 16-5 here Tuesday. The 5-7, 3-5 Bucs visit SJEL in Endicott on Friday. "These were two non-league games where we got some young guys in pitching," commented Head Coach Kyler Lovgren.

GENESEE–A hard-hitting Genesee nine tallied up double digits in the first inning and coasted to a pair of Lady Pirate shutouts here March 19. Genesee pitchers kept Pirate bats quiet, limiting the Lady Buccaneers to just one hit in each game. Molly Warren, who pitched for Pomeroy in the opener, slapped a triple into right field. In the nightcap, Caroline McKeirnan reached second in one of her at bats.

POMEROY––The Vikings edged the Buccaneers 13-9 here March 22, but the Pirates answered with a 10-3 win in the nightcap. The Vikes hammered Pomeroy hurlers with 11 hits in the first game and jumped to an 11-6 lead by the third inning with GP's Edwards able to blank the Pirates in the fourth, fifth and sixth innings. A three-run burst in the bottom of the seventh was quelled by the Vikings. It was a tough game offensively and defensively for the Pirates, said Head Coach Kyler Lovgren.

POMEROY–After last weekend's warming swing and rainfall, Garfield County's rural roadways took a hit but are still "on their feet."As of press deadline Tuesday, no roads are closed in Garfield County, according to Steve Gormsen, Road Superintendent. Some roads have one-lane traffic in places. Gormsen said the primary problem that prompted road closures was debris in the roadway. Closures were in effect until crews with a road grader could be on site, he said.
