Liverpool midfielder Harvey Elliott was in outstanding form for England U21s in their 2-1 semi-final win against the Netherlands. Harvey Elliott is captaining England at the U21 Championships, and his performances in Slovakia have somewhat explained why he’s keen to leave Liverpool. Elliott has started all five games at the tournament and Lee Carsley has built his team around the 22-year-old, a luxury he isn’t afforded at Anfield.

Tottenham Hotspur forward Wilson Odobert will soon be returning to the club after a period of rest following the U21 Championships. Alongside Mathys Tel, Wilson Odobert suffered defeat in France’s semi-final with Germany on Wednesday night, a 3-0 loss which was pretty emphatic. France underwhelmed at the tournament despite the best efforts of Tottenham pair Tel and Odobert.

Under Mikel Arteta, Arsenal have made a habit of recruiting from within the Premier League. The summer before last, Arsenal signed both Kai Havertz and Declan Rice for huge fees, two deals which have been a big success. And although it’s not quite at the same level of expense, Arsenal are close to signing Christian Norgaard from Brentford.

Everton are now ready to accelerate talks to sign Thierno Barry from Villarreal this summer, TBR Football can exclusively reveal. Everton have been interested in Thierno Barry for some time, a 22-year-old who just enjoyed a stellar campaign in La Liga. Barry netted 19 goals in 41 games across all competitions, explaining why David Moyes’ side are so keen on the striker. Of course, Barry has been away with France at the U21 Championships so far this summer where he made five appearances.

Almost every Arsenal fan now has an opinion on whether they’d like either Benjamin Sesko or Viktor Gyokeres to arrive at the Emirates this summer. Arsenal are in the market for a striker and both Benjamin Sesko and Viktor Gyokeres are seen as the most credible alternatives to Newcastle United’s Alexander Isak. In an ideal world, Mikel Arteta would simply sign Isak to spearhead Arsenal’s title-charge next season, but Newcastle are understandably determined to keep their star striker.

Little bit disappointed that Brentford opted for Caoimhin Kelleher, even if it is an excellent signing. Hoped Hákon Rafn would get his chance after a good few cameos. Still only 23 though so no real panic

Signings I'd love to see at #AFC this summer: Benjamin Sesko, Anthony Gordon and Martin Zubimendi.

Germany's media made some interesting observations about new #LFC signing Florian Wirtz in their 2-1 defeat to Portugal. https://t.co/C7VrF76p6F
