By all accounts, Arsenal would love to sign Alexander Isak from Newcastle United this summer. Arsenal have set aside significant funds to sign a new number nine and they’ve brought in a new sporting director in Andrea Berta who has a history of executing big deals. Berta signed several expensive strikers at Atletico Madrid and he’ll now be integral to Arsenal’s efforts to find an upgrade on Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus.

Therefore, Berta has been spending a ton of time exploring alternatives with the club’s scouting team. And whilst the likes of Dusan Vlahovic or Hugo Ekitike have been mentioned, it’s Gyokeres and Sesko who have prevailed.

Chelsea will once again attack the transfer market this summer as they aim to return to the top of the Premier League and Europe. By all accounts, Chelsea are continuing to plan for the future alongside Enzo Maresca despite an indifferent first season at the club. Perhaps under the club’s previous ownership, Maresca would already be gone, however Todd Boehly and BlueCo seem keen to give the Italian more time.
