Lacrosse returned for its final home matchup against Dartmouth on Saturday in hopes of clinching a victory after losing all previous Ivy League games this season. Despite another excellent individual game from first-year attacker Maddie Brogan, the Light Blue could not secure the win on Senior Day. The Lions (4-10, 0-6 Ivy) suffered a 13-6 defeat against the Big Green (9-5, 2-4 Ivy), in a continuation of their unsuccessful 2025 Ivy League campaign.

The Lions’ coaching vacancy was to be filled by Kevin Hovde, then-assistant coach at the University of Florida, a team that had just won the Southeastern Conference championship and was still competing in the NCAA tournament. Earlier in the month, it was announced that Jim Engles, the team’s head coach for the past nine seasons, was stepping down.
