A special new slice of pizza has come to Richardson: Called Pizza Ella, it's open at 7134 Campbell Rd. #A, across the street from Campbell Green Park, where it's doing kosher-certified pizza with Middle Eastern flavors. Pizza Ella is from husband-and-wife Yehuda and Lital Alila, who are originally from Tzfat, Israel; they also own Meat Point, a steakhouse in the same shopping center they opened in 2013. They opened Pizza Ella to fill the void of kosher pizza.

There's an authentic Hawaiian-style restaurant coming to East Dallas: Called Pine Isle, it'll be located at 2325 N. Fitzhugh Ave. #104, in a former Tom N Toms coffee space, where it's opening in mid-spring. Pine Isle is from Kevin Singharaj, a young but veteran restaurateur whose family owns the Zaap Kitchen chain.

A century-old property in Oak Cliff Dallas is getting a makeover: Called East Dock, it's a former industrial site located at 900 E. Clarendon Dr. that is being restored into a retail and studio space. The project is being led by Proxy Properties, an Oak Cliff real estate group famous for breathing new life into vacant and often historical buildings.

There's a big new restaurant-sports bar with a Latin theme coming to Oak Cliff: Called Más Chingón, it'll open at 312 W. Davis St., in the former Blue Cenote space, with food, big-screens, and live music. Construction is underway, with a target opening date of June. The owner is Christian Avanti, who also owns Lava Lounge on Cedar Springs Road as well as a couple of barber shops in town. His goal is to create a sports bar with a Latin environment, Latin music, and a menu of Mexican-Latin food.

An unusually buzzy tea concept from Taiwan is now brewing in Dallas-Fort Worth. Called Chicha San Chen, it opened with a splash in late January in Carrollton at 2225 Old Denton Rd. #135, where it's drawing lines of fans willing to wait two hours to try their exactingly brewed teas and boba teas.

A Chinese restaurant concept based in New York, known for hand-pulled noodles, has opened in Plano: Called DH Noodles, it's a small chain based in New York, now open at 2001 Coit Rd. #165, in a mostly Asian shopping center at the intersection of Park Boulevard. DH stands for Dun Huang, named for a city in China’s northwestern Gansu Province, on the edge of the Gobi Desert.

24 de marzo Día de la Memoria, la Verdad y la Justicia. Hace 49 años la historia de los argentinos cambió por completo y para siempre. La dictadura militar llegó para derrocar a María Isabel Martínez de Perón. El golpe de Estado se cobró 30.000 vidas. En San Juan hasta hace un año estaban registradas 132 personas, pero un estudio de la Universidad Nacional de San Juan recaudó el recuerdo de 18 personas más y hoy se puede decir que son 150 y contando.

An empanada concept from Georgia has comes to Texas: Called Belén de la Cruz, it's a small chain from Atlanta that has opened its first Texas location across from Dallas' Inwood Village, at 5601 Lovers Ln. #120, in a former massage spot. The eponymous concept was founded by Belén de la Cruz, an Argentinian entrepreneur who began selling her pastries out of her Atlanta home while teaching others how to prepare traditional Argentine recipes.

El viernes pasado, una mujer de 28 años del departamento de Sarmiento falleció estando embarazada de su beba de 9 meses. Tenía fecha de parto para el 12 de marzo. Sin embargo, se despertó sintiendo un fuerte dolor en el pecho y falleció. Los resultados de la autopsia arrojaron este sábado que la causa de muerte fue por un edema pulmonar que le causó un infarto y la dejó sin vida a ella y a su beba. Los médicos intervinieron el embarazo con una cesárea pero la bebe ya estaba muerta.
